North Carolina duo Wages – Nick Campbell (vocals, guitar) and James DeDakis (drums) – have finally released their debut, Drowning In Sun, Sunshine. Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, the guys were able to print their 16 song album, which was recorded at Asheville’s Echo Mountain Recording (Band of Horses, the Avett Brothers) and produced by Hank Sullivant (MGMT, The Whigs). The fifteen originals (plus a cover of Jeff Buckley’s “Murder Suicide Meteor Slave”) showcase pleasant pop with catchy melodies.
