Water Liars – Wyoming

  • March 5, 2013

Wyoming, the sophomore release from Mississippi duo Justin Kinkel-Schuster (vocals, guitar) and Andrew Bryant (drums, vocals), is one of the albums I am most excited about this spring. Water Liars only formed in 2011 and have already issued two full-lengths, winning notice of many critics with their debut Phantom Limb. With a narrative style that is both honest and dark and arrangements that are simple but stylistically diverse, Wyoming’s eleven songs declare that loneliness belongs to everyone and it is that accessibility that makes the music affecting and indelible. Wyoming ranges from folk rock to country blues to roots and is out on March 5th on Big Legal Mess and local and well respected label Fat Possum Records. Check out Wyoming to see what all the buzz is about. – Written by JFelton
