After almost a decade of singing and songwriting under the radar, Bahhaj Taherzadeh (a.k.a. We/Or/Me) has finally release his first full-length 2011’s Sleeping City. The Irish native, now Chicago-based singer-songwriter who received strong support by Glen Hansard (the Frames, Swell Season), creates a warm record with sounds of 1960’s Brit folk rock. A manuscript editor by day who often found himself awake in the middle of the night attending to his newborn twins, Taherzadeh channeled the exhaustion and struggle with his new identity as a father into Sleeping City. The beautiful collection features simple guitar and piano instrumentation with radiant harmonies. Standouts include opener “Across the Country” and “Our Broken Hearts.” – Written by JFelton
