Little Wings – Last

  • March 27, 2013

After many years of nomadic life as a surfer, painter and musician, Kyle Field (a.k.a. Little Wings) seemed to have settled down in the Sunset District of San Francisco but recently relocated to Los Angeles. Last, the 10th album by Little Wings, is another intimate collection of campfire indie folk that finds Field grappling with depression and restlessness against the backdrop of nature and the outdoors. Highlights include the hazy “Where Is the Worm” and “Knock on Every Door”, the emotive “Country Skull”, and the soulful “Sandy Baby.” Whether or not this is truly Little Wings’ last album as the title implies, fans will enjoy it either way. – Written by JFelton
