Woodpigeon is a lush orchestrated folk-pop group from Canada whose complex melodic arrangements and wispy harmonies come together into an album of melancholy beauty and intimacy. Originally, Treasury Library Canada was a limited release available through the web and Woodpigeon shows, but Boompa Records has finally officially released and expanded the record with a new 10-song bonus cd, Houndstooth Europa. Both albums are at the same time delightfully glum and charming, featuring songs that range from the simple and dulcet to the ornate and elaborate.
