Blind Man’s Colour – Wooden Blankets

  • February 8, 2010

The latest release from Blind Man’s Colour is further proof that this is a band worth following. The group comprises Kyle Wyss and Orhan Chettri, who spent their early teens playing “Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin stuff.” Their debut release, last year’s Season Dreaming, was recorded in Wyss and Chettri’s bedrooms during their senior year. Hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida, this duo creates psychedelic washes of sound composed of various effects, keyboards, guitars, and nostalgia-inducing effects. The tracks on this EP are complex and surprisingly, quite moving. Wooden Blankets was recorded at the same time as Season Dreaming, but is just now becoming available on Feb. 23. – Written by DBosket
