One of my favorite up-and-coming acts (and SXSW standouts) – Brooklyn based-band Beach Fossils – self-titled debut dropped in late May. The much anticipated follow-up to the critically lauded Beach Fossils 7”, Beach Fossils is fuzzed-out beach rock with jangly guitars, hazy vocals and subtle studio effects that maintain an organic vibe. Standout tracks include: “Youth”, “Vacation” and “Daydream”; all of which perfectly capture what will become the catchy sun-soaked soundtrack of the summer. – Written by JFelton
