Australian Lucas Dawson’s debut album, Another Way to Say Goodbye, is a classic break-up album, complete with tracks like “I Hate You”, “I’m So Miserable Without You”, “Ain’t Life Cruel” and “What Am I To Do.” This anti-love letter to his former girlfriend, who he followed to Sweden only to be dumped, predictably yet beautifully conveys the gamut of emotions from pain and anger to disgust and resignation. It’s bitter at times and features mellow vocals and instrumentation with swells of electric guitar. Despite its somewhat formulaic approach, Another Way to Say Goodbye is honest and heartfelt, an authentic and rich album. – Written by JFelton
