Around the Well is a collection of rare tracks ranging from out-of-print to never-before-released songs spanning the career of Iron and Wine (Sam Beam) from the home sessions that eventually yielded The Creek Drank The Cradle through his last release The Shepherd’s Dog. Split into two discs, the first disc contains unedited home recordings and the second features more refined studio moments recorded with friends. Around the Well should satiate die-hard fans until the follow-up to The Shepherd’s Dog is released in Spring 2010.
