Psych/freak folk-rocker Alela Diane takes a new turn on her third album Alela Diane & Wild Divine, exploring a nuanced country sound. In addition to her unusual, entrancing voice and accomplished, heartfelt songwriting, Alela’s team has expanded, with her touring partners Wild Divine becoming a permanent backing band. The tighter cohesion extends to other levels as well, as this release is a family effort, with substantial contributions from Alela’s father and multi-instrumentalist husband.
