Seattle based singer/songwriter Damien Jurado continues his prosperous musical partnership with multi-instrumentalist/producer Richard Swift. Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son is Jurado’s eleventh studio album, his third collaboration with Swift, and concept album sequel to 2012’s Maraqopa. Like its predecessor, the latest collection of 10 tracks (half of them with titles starting with “Silver”), is lush and experimental while exuding a new energy. Here Maraqopa’s protagonist who wandered off into the desert now embarks on a search for self and remains far from home. With a full band sound and Jurado’s superb storytelling, Brothers and Sisters is another must-have from Secretly Canadian.
