The Easy Leaves are California songwriters Kevin Carducci (bass) and Sage Fifield (guitar) and on their second release, American Times, they are joined by Skip Urmson (drums) and Josh Yenne (pedal steel). The core duo formed in 2008 and have since evolved their stringband aspirations into what they describe as a “personal distillation of American music” which is essentially a fusion of rock, gospel, bluegrass and country. Recorded in the basement of an aged convent, their energy and talent shine through in charming melodies and vocal harmonies.
