Together Emi Honda and Jordan McKenzie are Elfin Saddle, and their third full-length Devastates is a lovely eight track song cycle about the conflict between nature and technology. Recorded in an abandoned chapel in rural Quebec, the Montreal-based experimental folk duo utilize instrumentation that includes accordion, bells, cello, glockenspiel, percussion, pump-organ, and ukulele as well as strong melody lines and male/female harmonies.
