Frenchies Blues Destroyers – Praise

  • April 17, 2020

Frenchies Blues Destroyers is guitarist/singer/songwriter Kevin “Frenchie” Sciou and drummer Pete Coatney – longtime members of Jack Ingram’s touring band. Their third release is a spirited study of American guitar-based rock and blues music in its many styles and sounds. Frenchie and Coatney recorded the album at Audiostyles with Taylor Tatsch (Ronnie Fauss), who produced their 2018 debut, Love and Blood. Notable tracks include: the stormy “I Long To Come Home”; the 1960’s soul-inspired “I Never Meant to Hurt You”; “Miss Me When I’m Gone”; the classic rock vibed “Take a Stand”; the juke joint inspired “Blue Eyes Can Do You No Wrong”; the bluesy “Find Another Fool”; and a feisty cover of Don Nix’s “Black Cat Moan.” Frenchies Blues Destroyers’ Praise is a solid rock ‘n’ roll album and enjoyable listen! – Written by JFelton
