Joshua Burnside – Wear Bluebells in Your Hat If You’re Goin’ That Way

  • August 7, 2019

Irish indie folk singer/songwriter Joshua Burnside recently re-released his 2013 EP If You’re Goin’ That Way EP with the revised title, Wear Bluebells in Your Hat If You’re Goin’ That Way, featuring four new tracks and an acoustic version of one of the original EP tracks. Standout singles include: the lurching banjo-backed “Little Blind”; the hand-clapping blue-collar work song “Black Dog Sin”; the well-worn sounding waltz “August 1973”; the scratchy. weathered “Half Homes”; the woozy acoustic version of “Desert Wine”; the sparse folk tune “Drive-In Another Time”; and the Bright Eyes-esque “Mean Man.” If you missed the EP the first time around, then give the deluxe release Wear Bluebells in Your Hat If You’re Goin’ That Way a try – you won’t be disappointed. – Written by JFelton
