Shimmering Stars are still pretty new, but are quickly turning some heads in their native British Columbia for their vintage-tinged “romance pop” songs influenced by The Everly Brothers and Del Shannon. They even dress in their promo photos like a band that could’ve played at Marty McFly’s Enchantment Under the Sea dance. Thankfully, the music is good, with lovely harmonizing and simple, yet tightly, composed pop songs.
