Amy Stroup and Trent Dabbs are Sugar + the Hi-Lows, a retro Nashville, TN based duo complete with backing band. While singer/songwriters Stroup and Dobbs have ventured solo and together their acoustic pop sounds have graced television shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Parenthood, in this latest incarnation the two turn out eight infectious tracks of feel-good 50’s/60’s Southern rock filled with guitar riffs and catchy hooks. While their classic arrangements and instrumentation are solid, their warm boy-girl harmonies are simply dreamy.
