White Fence – …Is Growing Faith

  • January 30, 2011

One of the many projects of Tim Presley (frontman for Darker My Love, guitarist for the Strange Boys), White Fence is where he’s free to indulge in his whims as a solo artist. …Is Growing Faith takes you back to the ‘60s with jangly guitar tunes, rolls into some punk and psychedelia, and even has some folk. Throughout it all, the LA-based Presley gives his songs minimal polish and gloss, which gives the album a very lo-fi, retro sound that is almost as warm and comforting as listening to vinyl (but not quite, of course). …Is Growing Faith is his second White Fence release after a self-titled debut just last year. It’s a great set of songs that may ramble and drift off at times, but form a pretty enjoyable album that’s perfect for listening to on a lazy Sunday. – Written by DBosket
