Akron, Ohio based singer/songwriter Joseph Scott is back with his side project White Pines. With the release of his first full-length album, The Falls, White Pines makes good on the promise of last year’s EP A Face Made of Wood. Scott – a member of Michigan indie rock band Canada, and half of That’s Him! That’s the Guy! – makes narrative rich indie folk that touches on loss, hunger, joy, loneliness, and heartache through the course of ten stunning songs. The Falls is a well crafted collection of lovely music – smart and touching arrangements polished off with Scott’s warm, weary voice; it is definitely worth a listen. – Written by JFelton
