Yellow Ostrich is an artist I stumbled upon while surfing around on Bandcamp.com and is also the solo side project of The Chairs’ frontman Alex Schaaf and features a more dynamic lo-fi sound that draws upon psychedelia, folk-pop and indie electronica influences. Wild Comfort is an accomplished indie pop album filled with Schaaf’s gorgeous, looped vocals, retro synths, palpitating drum beats, biting electric guitars and themes about nature, adventure and teenage love.
