Suckers – Wild Smile

  • June 14, 2010

Brooklyn four-piece Suckers take a range of elements from glam and R&B to African rhythms and ‘90s indie rock that make Wild Smile an energetic, unique and damn entertaining album to listen to. Produced by Yeasayer’s Anand Wilder, the tracks on Wild Smile combine big anthemic songs with world percussion and frontman Quinn Walker’s agile vocals that are incredibly meaty and complex. Many bands right now have a “tribal indie” sound, but Suckers seems to have found a way to do it incredibly well – even better – than many of their peers. Standout tracks include “Save Your Love For Me,” and “Martha” and “Roman Candles.” – Written by DBosket
