The classic 1999 album by Washington D.C. quartet The Dismemberment Plan, Emergency & I, makes its vinyl debut. Widely adored and acknowledged by critics as one of the top albums of the decade, Emergency & I was an innovative mix of soul, hip-hop and techno tinged with jagged samples and irregular rhythms of Eric Axelson (bass), Jason Caddell (guitar), Joe Easley (drums) and Travis Morrison (vocals, guitar). Layered into the mix are Morrison’s distinct vocals, slightly high yet warm and well controlled.
