East River Pipe – a.k.a. songwriter Fred (F.M.) Cornog – has been making solo records since his 1994 debut Shining Hours in a Can. His seventh full length release, We Live in Rented Rooms showcases guitar, piano melodies, and percussive sounds with quiet, simple delivery. Cornog writes character driven songs about losers, rejected lovers, the world weary, and their unfulfilled dreams.
