East River Pipe – We Live In Rented Rooms

  • March 9, 2011

East River Pipe – a.k.a. songwriter Fred (F.M.) Cornog – has been making solo records since his 1994 debut Shining Hours in a Can. His seventh full length release, We Live in Rented Rooms showcases guitar, piano melodies, and percussive sounds with quiet, simple delivery. Cornog writes character driven songs about losers, rejected lovers, the world weary, and their unfulfilled dreams. Yet his own life stands as testament to what a man can achieve, having suffered from alcohol and drug abuse, depression and homelessness and working hard to battle those demons and create poignant music, even if it in just a rented room. – Written by JFelton
