South Carolina singer/songwriter James Justin Burke makes his debut with Southern Son, So Far a nine-song album of heartfelt Americana, soul, and country ballads. Using his great grandmother’s quilt as a metaphor for the album as well as cover art, Burke weaves vocals and guitar with traditional acoustic arrangements for a cohesive set of songs. Burke’s talent for harmonizing and instrumentation is complimented by guest musicians Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses) and The Hawkes.
