Indie rock star Kurt Vile is back from touring with the SoCal band The Soft Pack and ready to release his solo full length Smoke Ring For My Halo on March 8th. Known for his lo-fi psych folk, the Philadelphia singer/songwriter is joined by his sometime backing band The Violators at recording studios up and down the Northeast corridor throughout 2010. Guided by veteran producer/engineer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.), Vile turns out ten hi-fidelity songs, showcasing warm layers of Vile’s gravelly, Philly-tinged vocals and clear guitar.
