San Francisco singer/songwriter Nicki Bluhm is issuing her sophomore follow-up to 2008’s Toby’s Song with Driftwood. Bluhm, an accomplished singer in her own right, receives help again from husband Tim Bluhm, his band The Mother Hips performing backing duties, and Jackie Greene, and new this time around, Americana/roots jam band Railroad Earth. In this collection of eleven songs Bluhm’s soulful voice carries the softer, country tinged balladry as well as retro 60’s/70’s rock.
