Seattle’s See Me River, led by Kerry Zettel (formerly of Das Llamas), is back with their fourth release, Where Did We Go Wrong. Along with Joe Arnone, Ken Javery, Andy King, Evan Lesure and Cory Alfano, See Me River’s own take on “psychedelic goth folk” is somber and multi-layered, but not without an optimistic overtone. WDWGW is full of songs that sound a little down-and-out, but Zettel’s vocals always cast a positive light on whatever he sings. “Life In a Bottle” has some lovely, sad accordion while “You’re Not Too Young” effectively uses harmonica, acoustic guitar and simple storytelling in this heartfelt ballad. – Written by DBosket
