Susie Scurry – The Elvis Hour

  • September 3, 2018

lbourne, Australia’s a singer/songwriter Susie Scurry follows-up her 2016 self-titled debut album under the moniker The Grand Magoozi with The Elvis Hour EP under her real name. The Elvis Hour was recorded in Sheffield, England and was produced by Colin Elliot (Jarvis Cocker, Richard Hawley); it revolves around the first single and title-track which are a bit of a love letter to The King – an homage to radio stations shows dedicated to Elvis across the ages. Other album highlights include: the rambling love song “Waiting for You”; the gorgeous “I Don’t Say That Name Anymore”; the fiddle-driven track “I Wonder”; and the tender “Daddy’s Guitar.” Susie Scurry is a young talent to keep an eye on and The Elvis Hour is a very enjoyable listen. – Written by JFelton
